Success is a Science (Part 4)

Today we begin Chapter 2, The Experiment: A 15-Minute-A-Day System
Now that you know the theory of the Law of Attraction, it’s time to actually prove how the law of attraction can bring you anything you want in life from practicing this simple 15-minute-a-day system. Up until now, you may not have looked at your life as a design project with you as the chief designer.
You are just about to start creating the most beautiful piece of art called your life – in fact, making your life a masterpiece of your own design. In order to do this, you need to regularly step outside your life on a daily basis and look at the various areas of your life, and ask yourself this one question:
“If I could create my life exactly how I wanted, what would I choose to create in the areas of health, wealth and love?”
So, let’s look at The 3 Circles…
(Imagine 3 overlapping circles…each circle has a name: health, wealth and love.)
Everything that you could possibly want in life falls into one of these three categories. Also, you’ll notice that the circles overlap. If you were to focus on only one area, the most you could achieve in that area would be a fraction of your full potential.
Have you ever known someone who focused all of their energy on the attainment of wealth, but had poor health and no family life? Or, have you ever known someone who focuses totally on their relationships, has very little money and poor health? Or, of course, someone who focuses totally on health, has very little money to pursue either their health or love interests and lives their life as a hermit?
By focusing your life energy on continuously developing all 3 circles of life, you’ll discover that they each contribute to each other, as you can see in the areas where they overlap.
If you’re healthy, it’s easy to build the area of wealth, and to have the time and the energy for loved ones. If you’re wealthy, you have the resources to create the lifestyle to share with loved ones as well as live in a healthy way. And if you have good relationships with family, friends and a life partner, you have a wonderful support network to help you in your pursuit of health and wealth. You can create all of this by practicing this simple system.
The beauty of this system is in its’ simplicity. And it is as simple as this: all you have to do is make a list of everything that you can think of that you want in the areas of health, wealth and love and then read your lists, as well as think about, adjust and add to them, every day for 15 minutes. That’s the essence of the system.
There are some more detailed instructions which you’ll discover through this series, but in essence that’s all there is to it.
At this point, it’s important to heed the following warning: DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE SHEER SIMPLICITY OF THIS SYSTEM….IT WORKS. It has always worked for the greatest achievers in history, and it will work for you.
THE 3 P’s
Each goal must follow the rule of the 3 P’s:
- Make sure that you actually ask for what you do want rather than what you don’t
- Make sure it’s stated as if it were true right now so that you can imagine it’s true and get all of the wonderful feelings (because the feelings are the magnetic force that draws it to you) that you would experience if it really were true right now.
- Make sure that it’s a goal for you, not for someone else, because you’re not qualified to decide what’s right for someone else. You’re only qualified to decide what’s right for you. And the way that you know if it’s right for you is if it feels good.
For example, instead of writing, “I don’t want to be fat anymore,” you might instead write, “I am happy and slim at my ideal weight of ____ lbs.” Or even better, “I love being slim weighing ____ lbs.”
Notice how it’s stated in positive terms, notice how it’s stated in present tense, and notice that it’s a goal that you know you feel good about because it’s a personal goal, and you’re the only one who’s in touch with your feelings.
Apply the same 3 P’s principle to all three areas: health, wealth and love. If you find yourself writing a don’t-want, or a future tense goal, or a goal for someone else, simply switch it to its opposite.
You need to either grab some paper and a pen or write in a journal at this point, and make 3 lists of your desires: one for health, one for wealth and one for love.
Of course, these are just draft versions as you will be refining your lists later on in this series when we look deeper into the application of the Law of Attraction.
Look back over the lists and you may notice that one or two things may jump off the page at you that you feel particularly good about. Take a moment and indulge yourself in the deliciousness of the feeling. Close your eyes, picture or imagine that it’s true right now whether or not you believe that it’s possible.
As you tune in to the feeling, recognize this is universal life force energy that you feel right now. This is the magnetic force that creates worlds. And right now it is drawing to you whatever you are picturing or imagining in your mind.
